The Public Service Co-ordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) General Secretary, Mr Frikkie De Bruin has conveyed a message of support on behalf of the Council to the Mandela family. The PSCBC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cde. Nomzamo Winifred Madikizela-Mandela, affectionately known by South Africans as Mama Winnie Mandela. Cde. Winnie’s passing signifies a great loss to our Nation, she was one of the most revered struggle heroes of our time who played a significant role towards the liberation of the people of South Africa from the apartheid regime.

The PSCBC would like to express its deepest condolences to the Mandela and Madikizela families on the passing of our dear Mama Winnie. May her soul forever rest in peace!!!
