Occupation Specific Dispensation (OSD)
As per clause 4.1 of PSCBC Resolution 1 of 2007 revised Occupational Specific Salary Structures is to be negotiated and implemented per identified occupation to attract and retain professionals and other specialists.
As per clause 4.2 and 4.3 the principles of the revised occupation specific salary structures are to develop new salary structures with the aim of improving the Public Service's ability to attract and retain skilled employees. The system will include:
- Unique salary structure per occupation;
- Central determined grading structures and broad job profiles;
- Career pathing opportunities based on competencies, experience and performance; and
- Pay progression within the salary level.
